David B. Mitchell, Esq., highly rated by Martindale Hubbell, is a member of the Florida Bar and its Family Law Section. He is a member of the Dade County (FL) Bar Association, where he serves on the Family Courts and County Courts Committees. He is a recipient of the distinguished service award from the Dade County Bar Association for his past service as volunteer counsel in the Guardian Ad Litem program. Mr. Mitchell is also a member of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies.
Currently, he is the treasurer/director of the Coral Gables Bar Association, where he is also the editor-in-chief of the Gables Lawyer Newsletter. He was the recipient of the President's Award in 2000.
Mr. Mitchell holds the Key to the City of Coral Gables in recognition of his significant contribution to improving the quality of life of his community and has served as the past president of the Ponce de Leon Development Association.
A member of the Rotary Club of Coral Gables, District 6990, he is presently program chairman and a director of this organization, a Benefactor of the Rotary International Foundation, member of the Bequest Society and a Paul Harris Fellow.
Additionally, Mr. Mitchell serves as president of Coral Gables Citizens' Crime Watch and was appointed in 2001 by the mayor of the City of Coral Gables to serve on the City-Wide Anti-Crime Committee, a municipal advisory board.
Mr. Mitchell is also a member of the Coral Gables Community Foundation, the leading charitable organization in the city, and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Mitchell is presently affiliated with the Sam Adams Chapter of the Sons of the Revolution, is a "1776-er" with the Miami Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, and was elected to the Order of Founders & Patriots of America. He is a life member of the Order of the Crown of Charlemagne in the United States, and the Colonial Order of the Crown. Mr. Mitchell s also a member of the Somerset Chapter of the Magna Charta Barons, and numerous genealogical and historical societies.
A graduate of Leadership Miami, he has served on the boards of numerous civic and charitable organizations. Mr. Mitchell was listed in the 1999 edition of "Who's Who in American Law" and the 2000 edition of "Who's Who in America."
